- Open your “Calls” app.
2. Hold for few seconds on the number which you want to block.
Here i want to block the first number “+91 120 659 2774” so i am just holding it for few seconds.
3. Select “Block”
4. Click “Block“.
Now that number is blocked and you will not receive calls from that number.
This works for most of the android phones but if the options are different in your phone so you should try blocking from settings.
Steps to Block a Number on Android from Settings
- Open your “Calls” app.
2. Click options button on top right of your screen.
3. Select “Settings”.
4. Click “Blocked Numbers”.
5. Click on “Add a number”.
6. Click on “Phone number” and enter the number which you want to block.
7. Click “Block”.
You will see this message “number blocked” for the confirmation that number is blocked successfuly! also you can see that number under “Add a number” button and if you like to unblock them in future so just click on “x” next to that number.
Now the number is blocked and you will not receive any calls from that number.
Bonus tip: Block unknown numbers automatically on android
If you are receiving lots of calls and want to block unkown calls automatically and receive calls from contacts only then what you have to do is just enable this setting “Unkown”.
This setting will block all calls that are not saved in your contacts.
